A Tribute to All Construction Workers

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Take a break from your daily routines; be it sitting in an air-conditioned room cracking your head, rushing for your FYP feeling like the end of the world or wishing there's more to life than just running every day's chores.. go to the nearest construction site (or even just looking from afar) and look at those construction sites workers.

I somehow always have this weird feelings whenever I saw them. Felt such gratification for them, working their sweats out under the burning sun, and even not stopping with the heavy downpour of rain!

Am now actually waiting for my supervisor to show him the progress of my FYP and went standing there a while to look at the construction going on behind my faculty, when it suddenly rained and I went to look again and surprised to see them continue working like nothing happened! Wow..

It suddenly struck me that it's kinda not fair. It's true that we need to work to earn a living. But then why their job is like so tough when some just sit in the air-cond room everyday wearing suits? I then find the best answer to my question, I blame it on karma. Yeah, I do believe in karma, to some extent. But still there's twisted feelings in my heart whenever I look at them.

Like when I used to travel forth and back to work during my industrial training, passing the Penang bridge very early in the morning. I can see those workers walking in groups, some holding hands, and also holding their meals for that day in those steel containers we called "ua chan".. Got once I had this stupid thought, that one day I would want to buy a lot a lot of KFC and treat them all for lunch! Lol. And sometimes I would tell myself to become a social worker, so I can do some things for them.

It's already 4.43 and my supervisor is still not here. Gah! I'm going back. Gotta go training for my basketball competition tomorrow. Wish me luck! =D

Til I update again! Adios!
